How To Manifest With Reiki – The Approach I Use As A Reiki Practitioner

Have you ever finished a Reiki session and thought, “I feel so calm and clear right now… what if I could use this feeling to actually bring more of what I want into my life?”

That’s kind of where my whole Reiki manifestation practice started.

Not from a textbook or a course module, but from noticing how different everything felt after Reiki and wondering how I could bring more intention into those moments.

What Is Reiki Manifestation?

Reiki manifestation is the practice of combining Reiki energy with manifestation techniques like setting intentions, visualization, and affirmations. It’s not a separate modality or a brand-new system.

If Reiki is new to you, it’s a Japanese energy healing practice centred around the idea of channeling universal life force energy through the hands.

As a Reiki practitioner, I gently place my hands on or just above different areas of the body, allowing Reiki energy to flow wherever it’s needed.

For me, Reiki is a beautiful practice that brings balance on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels, which is one of the reasons I enjoy combining it with manifestation.

I simply see Reiki and manifestation as two practices that work beautifully together.

A lot of Reiki practitioners enjoy using Reiki for manifestation because both practices already share so much common ground.

They both centre around energy, intention and creating positive change, which is probably why bringing them together has always felt so natural to me.

Reiki helps create the kind of calm, open, focused state where manifestation feels much easier to settle into.

It’s not about forcing anything to happen, but more about using Reiki to quiet the noise a little, connect with my intention, and give my energy somewhere loving and positive to go.

When I first started Reiki manifesting, it felt like a natural extension of what I was already doing during my sessions.

Some people approach Reiki manifestation from a deeply spiritual place, and that’s beautiful. Others enjoy it more as a calming, centering ritual that helps them focus on their goals.

There’s no single right way to look at it, and that’s part of what makes it so appealing.

Think of this post as a Manifestation Reiki Guide from my own experience, not a set of rules.

Before I share how I personally manifest with Reiki, I want to answer a question that comes up a lot, especially from people who are newer to this.

Can You Manifest With Reiki If You’re Not Reiki Trained?

I think it’s worth being upfront about this because I see it glossed over a lot online.

I’m a Reiki practitioner, and traditional Reiki involves an attunement process where a Reiki Master opens your energy channels so you can work with Reiki energy directly.

That’s a specific training, not something you just pick up from reading a blog post (including this one).

That said, so much of what makes this practice meaningful, like meditation, setting intentions, using affirmations, and visualization, can be enjoyed by absolutely anyone.

You don’t need a Reiki attunement to sit quietly, set an intention, and picture something wonderful unfolding in your life. Those are universal tools that belong to everyone.

If you’re wondering how to manifest with Reiki specifically and you’re drawn to the energy work side of things, I’d encourage you to look into Reiki training when the time feels right for you. It’s a really rewarding experience.

But please don’t feel like the door is closed to you in the meantime. You can still explore intention-setting and visualization on your own and get so much out of it.

My hope is that sharing my process gives you ideas you can adapt, whether you’re Reiki trained or not.

How I Manifest With Reiki

My approach to Reiki manifesting is pretty simple, and that’s on purpose.

I’ve found that the more relaxed and personal my practice feels, the more I actually look forward to doing it. Intentions, Reiki energy, visualization, affirmations, and gratitude are the building blocks I come back to again and again.

I Start With A Reiki Intention

Before I do anything else, I choose one area to focus on. Just one. Trying to manifest twelve things at once always left me feeling scattered, so now I keep it simple.

Sometimes my Reiki intention is centered on love. Other times it’s confidence before a big week, or peace during a stressful season. I’ve set intentions around health, abundance, creativity, and even just wanting to feel more like myself again.

I don’t try to make my intentions sound fancy. Something like “I’d love to invite more peace into my days this week” works perfectly.

The simpler and more honest the intention feels, the better it sits with me. I’m not writing a script for the universe. I’m just getting clear on what I’d like more of.

I Activate Reiki Energy

Once I have my intention, I settle into my space and bring my hands together in Gassho, which is a prayer-like hand position that helps me transition into a Reiki mindset. It’s like a signal to my brain that says, “Okay, we’re doing this now.”

I take a few deep breaths. Nothing forced or counted, just slow, full breaths until I feel my body start to relax.

Then I silently invite Reiki energy to flow, holding my intention in my mind as I do.

This part doesn’t take long. Some days it’s two minutes, some days it’s ten. I let it be whatever it needs to be.

The point is to feel connected and present, not to follow a rigid checklist of how to activate Reiki energy.

I Focus On The Chakras That Match My Intention

Once I feel Reiki flowing, I start placing my hands where they feel most connected to the intention I’ve chosen.

I don’t always follow exactly the same sequence because different intentions naturally draw my attention to different energy centres.

In Reiki, we work with the body’s seven main chakras, each one associated with different areas of our emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing.

I don’t get too caught up in trying to do everything perfectly. Instead, I simply think about what I’m trying to invite into my life and which chakra feels like the best place to focus.

Root Chakra – When I Need To Feel Grounded

When I’m manifesting more stability, financial security or simply wanting to feel more grounded, I’ll often spend extra time working with my Root Chakra.

It helps me feel settled and reminds me that strong foundations are just as important as big dreams.

Sacral Chakra – For Creativity And New Ideas

If my intention is around creativity, embracing change or bringing more joy into my life, I’ll naturally spend more time focusing on my Sacral Chakra. I find it helps me connect with inspiration and stay open to new possibilities.

Solar Plexus Chakra – My Go-To For Confidence

This is one I come back to a lot. Whenever I’m manifesting confidence, self-belief or the courage to step outside my comfort zone, my Solar Plexus Chakra is usually where I focus my Reiki.

It always feels like a natural place to build my personal power and remind myself that I’m more capable than I sometimes give myself credit for.

Heart Chakra – Opening Myself To Love

If I’m manifesting a new relationship, strengthening an existing one, or want to feel more compassion towards myself, I’ll often focus on my Heart Chakra. For me, it represents love in all its forms, including the relationship we have with ourselves.

Throat Chakra – Finding My Voice

If my intention is around speaking up, communicating more openly or expressing myself with confidence, I’ll spend a little longer working with my Throat Chakra. It’s where I naturally turn whenever I want my words to come from a calm, honest place.

Third Eye Chakra – Trusting My Intuition

Sometimes the thing I’m manifesting isn’t a specific outcome at all. Sometimes I just want clarity. When that’s the case, I like to focus on my Third Eye Chakra and spend a few quiet moments trusting my intuition rather than trying to figure everything out with my logical mind.

Crown Chakra – Feeling Spiritually Connected

I often finish by placing my hands on my Crown Chakra, especially if my intention is about trusting the journey or feeling more connected to something bigger than myself.

It leaves me feeling peaceful, supported, and ready to let go of the need to control every little detail.

Of course, there’s no rule that says you have to focus on just one chakra. Some sessions naturally flow from one to another, depending on how I’m feel that day.

I simply let my intention guide me and trust where Reiki seems to take me, rather than worrying about following a perfect routine.

I Visualize What I’m Calling Into My Life

This is my favorite part.

Once Reiki is flowing and I’m feeling calm, I let myself imagine my intention already being part of my life. If my focus is on confidence, I picture myself walking into a room feeling at ease, speaking up without second-guessing, laughing freely.

I try to notice the feelings attached to the picture, not just the image itself.

What does that version of my day feel like?

What does my body feel like?

There’s something about letting yourself sit in that feeling, even for a minute, that shifts your whole mood.

I keep this relaxed. If my mind wanders to my grocery list, I just come back to the image. No frustration. No rules about how long I need to hold the visualization. It’s meant to feel nice and relaxed.

I Use Reiki Affirmations

After visualizing, I like to pair my session with a few Reiki affirmations that match my intention. These are just short, positive phrases that feel true, or at least feel like something I’m open to believing.

Some of my go-to affirmations:

  • I am open to abundance
  • Peace flows easily through my life
  • I welcome loving relationships
  • I trust that good things are unfolding
  • I am exactly where I need to be right now

Your affirmations don’t have to be perfect or poetic. If “I’m open to things getting better” is all that feels real to you today, that’s more than enough.

The best affirmations are the ones you can say without your brain immediately arguing back.

I Finish With Gratitude

I always close my Reiki manifestation sessions with a moment of appreciation. Not a long, formal gratitude list, just a quiet “thank you” for the session, for the energy, for the few minutes of stillness I gave myself.

Sometimes I feel grateful for something specific that happened that day. Sometimes I just appreciate the fact that I carved out this little window of time for myself. It doesn’t need to be profound.

Ending with gratitude leaves me feeling complete, like the session has a natural close. I sit for another moment, let my hands rest in my lap, and take one more breath before opening my eyes. It’s a small thing, but it makes the whole practice feel more meaningful.

You Don’t Have To Practise Reiki Yourself

If you’re reading this and thinking, “This all sounds lovely, but I’m not Reiki trained,” please don’t feel like you’re missing out.

One of the wonderful things about Reiki is that you don’t have to practise it yourself to experience it.

Booking a session with a Reiki practitioner can be a lovely way to enjoy the calming, restorative side of Reiki while still bringing manifestation into the experience.

Working With A Reiki Practitioner

Finding the right Reiki practitioner is a bit like finding a good hairdresser or therapist. It’s important that you feel comfortable with them and able to relax.

Every practitioner has their own style, so don’t be afraid to ask questions or try someone different until you find the right fit.

Most Reiki practitioners are warm, friendly people who genuinely want you to feel at ease. The more relaxed you are, the more you’ll get from the experience.

Share Your Intention Before Your Session

If you’re comfortable doing so, let your practitioner know what you’re hoping to manifest or invite into your life before your session begins.

Whether that’s confidence, love, abundance, peace or simply feeling more like yourself again, sharing your intention gives them a better understanding of what you’d like to focus on.

For example, if someone came to me wanting to build confidence, I’d naturally spend a little longer working with the Solar Plexus Chakra.

If their intention was around love or healing a relationship, I’d probably give more attention to the Heart Chakra. Everyone works a little differently, but most practitioners are more than happy to tailor a session around what matters most to you.

You don’t need to have everything figured out beforehand either. Even a simple intention like “I’d like to feel calmer” or “I’d like more clarity” is enough.

Reiki isn’t about getting the words exactly right. It’s about creating a quiet space where you can relax, reconnect with yourself and gently focus your energy on what you’d like to invite into your life.

Are There Reiki Symbols For Manifestation?

This comes up a lot, so I wanted to address it directly. There isn’t one official Reiki symbol for manifestation. You won’t find a specific Reiki manifestation symbol in traditional Usui Reiki that’s labeled “use this one to manifest.”

That said, many Reiki practitioners (myself included) like to use Cho Ku Rei when setting intentions.

Cho Ku Rei is traditionally associated with strengthening and focusing energy, which makes it a natural fit when you’re directing energy toward a specific goal or desire.

If I’m focusing on a particular intention, I’ll often draw Cho Ku Rei mentally before placing my hands on the chakra that feels most connected to what I’m manifesting. For me, it simply helps bring everything together at the start of the session.

I want to be respectful here because different Reiki lineages and traditions have their own relationships with the symbols. Some practitioners use multiple symbols together for manifestation work, and others prefer not to use symbols in this context at all.

There’s no single correct approach, and what feels right to you is worth honoring.

If you’re Reiki Level 2 or above and curious about incorporating symbols into your manifestation practice, I’d encourage you to experiment and notice what resonates. Your own experience will always be your best teacher with this kind of thing.

Final Thoughts On Manifesting With Reiki

Manifesting with Reiki has become one of those practices that I genuinely look forward to, not because it promises me anything specific, but because it makes me feel calmer, more focused, and a little more hopeful about where things are heading.

The process I’ve shared here is simply what I’ve settled into over time, and it keeps evolving as I do.

More than anything, I hope this has encouraged you to create a Reiki manifestation practice that feels meaningful, enjoyable, and true to you.

There’s no perfect formula for Reiki manifestation, and I think that’s part of what makes it so special. The approach that works best is always going to be the one that feels the most natural to you.
